 Scania IAA Transportation 2024

Scania has launched a new range of service offerings designed to give owners, drivers and operators a consistent experience.

Revelead at IAA Transportation, Services 360 intends to provide all customers access to Scania knowledge and expertise to improve their experience across Europe.

Mikael Blom, product manager at Scania, said: “This launch comes at a time when we see our customers growing in size and doing business with us in more countries simultaneously. Vehicles are being used across borders more frequently and fleets are growing bigger. With Services 360, Scania becomes the first OEM that can offer fleet owners an easy way to access and buy exactly the same solutions all over Europe.”

Operators get the choice of four packages depending on their fleet needs: core, plus, full, and pro. The level of service, repair and maintenance cover varies from basic support to Scania ProCare which includes real-time vehicle monitoring, preventative work and flexible maintenance schedules.

For more specialist requirements, Scania Services 360 is available with a number of add-on products so operators can create a bespoke package. An example of an additional service is Max 24 which offers 24 hour breakdown cover across Europe. For UK customers, add-ons include O-licence inspection, legal inspection (MOT) and out of hours maintenance.

James Colbourne, services director for Scania UK, said: “Services 360 provides our customers with a simpler services proposition. Whether you operate in the UK or across Europe, the experience you get from the Scania service network will be the same. It also allows us to add extra value and support to our customers’ operations, and truly being able to become their trusted partner in business, no matter where they operate.”

Scania also showcased its electrified and biofuel powered heavy trucks at IAA Transportation. President and CEO Christian Levin, commented: “Electrified transport depends on a whole ecosystem. To be the best partner to our customers we must offer more than vehicles. Additionally, our support includes charging infrastructure, battery performance monitoring, dynamic route planning, financing, and many other services. Over the past two years, we’ve worked hard to get all of that in place.”
